Why choose us
Most tutoring services help with homework and that’s where their involvement ends. We work differently. We specialise in Year 7 to 10 maths, and our tutors have genuine expertise in this area. They have all achieved 94+ ATARs and studied the syllabus themselves, so they understand both what to teach and why it matters.
We handpick our tutors for their subject knowledge and provide ongoing training to ensure they teach effectively. Maths is their specialisation, and they bring real depth to their work. Your child receives personalised support that's structured around their needs and designed to help them progress.
Our approach
We pair students with a tutor who connects well with them and can teach effectively. During sessions, our tutors focus on the reasoning behind each concept, not just the process. This builds genuine understanding rather than surface-level knowledge that students forget quickly.
After each session, students will receive a personalised summary and worksheet to consolidate what they've learned. We see learning as something that extends beyond the hour. These worksheets give students practice on what they've covered and serve as a reference they can return to later.

The Founders
We are Lulu and Jenna, a Law student and a Medical student, and Gold Coast based graduates who have spent the past two years working closely with students through one-to-one maths tutoring.
We created The Maths Method after seeing the same pattern again and again: capable students losing confidence, feeling stuck and starting to believe they’re “just not good at maths.” In reality, they simply haven’t been taught in a way that truly makes sense to them.
Having recently navigated the curriculum ourselves, we understand exactly where students begin to struggle. The Maths Method was built to address this, by focusing on clarity, structure and building genuine understanding of mathematics
